A set that works
- WhatsApp, with the message Hi! I would like to book a table (from {title}). The page the visitor was on arrives with it.
- Phone, phones only, for the ones who want to talk.
- Email, with a subject such as Group booking, for parties and events.
Where to show it
On the whole site is fine for a restaurant, because every page might be the one that makes someone hungry. If the menu is a PDF or a page, the button is next to it. If you take bookings through a booking system with its own page, leave the button off that page so nothing pulls a person out of the booking.
Set the expectation
A WhatsApp line is answered by a person. Write the greeting so it says when: We answer between 11 and 22. With the free plugin the line is always there. With Pro the button can follow your opening hours, hide itself or say Back at 11:00 when you are closed, and the opening hours guide has a checker for it.
Allergies and other private details
People will tell you things in a message. Keep the first reply short, and take anything that needs a record, such as an order for a large group, into the system you normally use.
