Where the plugin looks

In the options that Click to Chat has saved in your database, for the number and the pre-filled message. A number is only offered if Beckonbird can turn it into a working link, using the same rules as for a number you type yourself: a country code, 7 to 15 digits.

The message

Plugins people move from tend to write their placeholders in capitals, in square brackets, or as {href} for the page address. Here {site}, {title} and {url} are understood in any capitals, and when the message is copied {href} and [url] become {url}, [title] becomes {title} and [site] becomes {site}. What the old message said at the end is kept, up to 500 characters.

A message here is one line, so line breaks in the old message become spaces. Placeholders this plugin cannot fill in, such as Joinchat’s {HOME}, {PRODUCT}, {PRICE} and {SKU}, are left out, and the note above the copy button says which ones.

What you set again

Appearance. The button’s colour, size and side, the words beside it and the pages it shows on are Beckonbird’s own settings, so look at the Appearance and Display tabs once. If your old plugin hid the button on certain pages, list them by number on the Display tab.

If you use both for a while

Two buttons in the same corner will sit on top of each other. Either move one with the Side setting, as in the guide to the left side, or deactivate the old plugin as soon as the copy is done, which is simpler. Nothing from the old plugin is removed when you deactivate it, so you can go back.
